US Address Validator

Paste a US address to split it into fields, normalize the format, and check the city/ZIP pairing against the bundled dataset. This is a format check, not an identity or deliverability lookup.

Format check only. It does not verify that a mailbox exists or that a person lives there.

Field parsing

Splits street, city, state, and ZIP so you can copy one value at a time.

Normalization

Produces a consistent three-line US address with the country on the last line.

Dataset check

Compares the ZIP and city with the bundled public city data and explains any mismatch.

Address validation questions

Does this prove an address is deliverable?+
No. It checks the text structure and compares the city/ZIP against a bundled public dataset. It does not query USPS, verify a mailbox, or confirm that a person lives there.
What formats are accepted?+
A single line such as “123 Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90012”, or multiple lines with the street first and “city, ST ZIP” on its own line. A trailing “United States”, “US”, or “USA” is optional.
Why does it warn about my ZIP?+
The ZIP may be outside the bundled city dataset, or it may not be listed for the city you entered. A warning is not proof that the address is wrong; confirm it with the postal operator.
Does it store the address I paste?+
No. Parsing runs in your browser. The page does not send the address to a server or save it.
Can it validate non-US addresses?+
Not yet. Use the country format pages for field order and postal-code rules outside the US.
