Address Parser & Formatter

Paste a full address as text and get structured fields back. The parser reads the postal code to find the city line, then rebuilds the address in the order that country actually writes it.

One field per line works best; a single line is also accepted.

Shared country profiles

The parser imports the same 38 profiles as the generators, so a parsed Japanese address comes back in Japanese line order, not a US template.

Unit lines detected

Lines starting with Apt, Suite, Unit, Flat, Room, Piso, Daire, or Kv. become address line 2 instead of being glued to the street.

Warnings, not silent guesses

A missing postal code or city is reported in the result, so a broken source string does not become a plausible-looking fixture.

Address Parser & Formatter questions

How does it find the city and postal code?+
It scans every token for a value that matches the selected country postal format, then treats the remainder of that line as the city and region. Everything above it becomes the street lines.
Why does the parser refuse some addresses?+
It reports a failure instead of guessing when there is no usable line. A wrong field silently written into a fixture is worse than an error you can see.
Which countries are supported?+
All 38 countries that have an address generator here. Field order, postal placement, and unit label come from the same country profile the generator uses, so parsing and generating agree.
Does it validate deliverability?+
No. It checks structure and reformats. A parsed address is still synthetic or unverified and must not be used for shipping or identity checks.
Can I export the parsed fields?+
Yes. Copy the formatted address, or download the fields as CSV or JSON for a test fixture.
