Address taxonomy · what each identifier means
Every kind of address, and what it actually identifies
“Address” means different things depending on the form in front of you. A postal address locates a building, a MAC address labels a network card, an IP address routes packets, and a UUID names a record. This page maps the families and points to the tools that exist for each.

Postal and physical addresses
A location where mail or a package can be delivered, or a synthetic stand-in for one. This is the core of the site.
Random US address
State and city aware street addresses with ZIP, phone, and coordinates.
Open toolAddress generator by country
Thirty countries with local field order, postal samples, and export.
Open toolBatch address generator
Generate 10–500 rows and download CSV or JSON.
Open toolTax-free state address
Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon.
Open toolAddress format guide
Field order and postal rules for 30 countries.
Open toolAddress validator
Parse, normalize, and check a city and ZIP pairing.
Open toolDevice and network addresses
Identifiers attached to a network interface or a generated record rather than a physical place. These are new here; more are planned.
MAC address generator
48-bit hardware addresses with vendor OUI, four formats, and IPv6 link-local.
Open toolMAC address lookup
Validate a MAC, read the OUI flags, and convert formats.
Open toolIP address generator
IPv4 and IPv6 by scope: public, private, loopback, link-local, ULA.
Open toolUUID generator
RFC 9562 v4 random and v7 time-ordered identifiers.
Open toolAddresses that identify a channel, not a place
These are addresses in the naming sense: they point at a mailbox, a handset, a coordinate, or a host.
Email addresses
Identifies a mailbox, not a place. This site uses example.test in synthetic personas so nothing can be delivered.
Synthetic personaPhone numbers
A dialable endpoint tied to a carrier and region. The generator uses the reserved 555-01xx range.
Phone number generatorGeographic coordinates
Latitude and longitude rather than a postal address. Every generated US address includes a coordinate pair.
Random US addressDomain names and URLs
Resolves to a host on the internet. Related to an IP address, but registered through a registrar rather than assigned to an interface.
ZIP APIWhat this site does not generate
Competitor sites list some of these. They are missing here on purpose, not by omission.
IMEI and MEID
15-digit device identifiers for phones and cellular modems. Not offered: a valid-looking IMEI can be used to misrepresent a device, and the check digit makes plausible fakes easy to produce.
Bluetooth and BLE addresses
48-bit identifiers with their own address types. Planned only as a format explainer; not a generator.
Serial numbers and asset tags
Vendor-specific and not standardized. A generic generator would produce values no real system accepts, so this is out of scope.
SSN, credit card, and identity numbers
Not offered, deliberately. These are regulated identity and payment credentials; producing realistic values helps fraud and violates card-network rules.
Every generator on this site is for test data, fixtures, and form design. None of the output is a real registration, and none of it should be submitted to a bank, marketplace, government portal, or identity check. Read the disclaimer.
